This question may sound stupid on the subject bar, but I know part of my wheel size, I just can't remember the rest.

I have a stock wheels on my 87 4Runner, so 15 inch, 7inch wide. What size do I need, 5" x 5 1/2", or 6" x 5 1/2"? And will 3 3/4 inch back spacing work? The back spacing is the reason I want the wheels. I want make my rig look like it actually has some guts

and what does the back spacing mean? What difference would I measure using 4 3/4 backspacing?

Another referal to the professor, Roger Brown's site . Sometimes I think everything everyone needs to know about older Toyota trucks is on his site somewhere.

If you have an SR5 model with the fancy 4 point star alloy wheels you have 15x7 JJ wheels. Otherwise I think you may have chromed steel 15x6 JJ stock wheels. JJ refers to backspacing and contour of the inner wheel. I forgot the actual BS measurement though. Sorry.

So... a wheel with backspacing of 0" will stick out more than one with 4"? Or is it the other way around?
