i just looked at my tires closely and they say "max load 2270 lbs at 50 psi".

FIFTY??!!

the tires are 31s and they only sit 29.5 inches tall at 35psi does any body else have 50psi tires?!

Don't ever, ever put 50 psi in those tires. It is a maximum rating only. Use your manufacturers recommended tire pressure in there (plus or minus a few pounds for preferences).

I've forgotten the list of woes that can occur on your truck from doing so, but there have been many bad stories of dealers/tire shops that inflate the tires to the 50 (or 65 or whatever) pounds and returning the vehicle to the customer that way. Someone more personally involved in one of these scenarios can give specifics, but it's a bad idea.

To your question specifically, most car/truck tires have a max rating of waaaaay over anything you'd ever want to run.

31" A/T's I run them at 30'sh PSI for winter use. 12 PSI when offroading

I like them a little softer in the winter, and In the summer I usally run them at 35 psi

32 all the way around, but when I have my larger than life girlfriend, i put the passenger side tires up to 35 to compensate....

@ 50 psi your truck can support 9080 pounds..... I am posivitve that that is way beyond your GVWR

I had this happen to me. Big O put 65psi in my new (then) Big Foot A/T's. The truck rode like crap, and would fishtail on any normal corner. Now, I run 35-38psi on my BFG's and I'm almost ready for a new set at 30k miles.

I was running 32psi on my 31" BFGs - bad.

I now run 40psi and they are running and wearing out great.

Better cornering and a slight improvement in gas mileage.

your 31's are LT's,(which means light truck)made to carry a load.run em between 20&30psi.yotys are so light weight that the LT's will carry it at extremely low psi.i run mine at 22psi.next time get some P31's for a better ride but less load rating.

When I got my Revo's put on the shop set them at 42 psi, and every bump I hit on the road on the way home was bone-jarring. Speedbumps felt like running over curbs. I can't imagine what 50 psi, much less 65 would feel like

I usually run 20 to 30 on-road and 15 to 7 off-road depending on the surface, 31" BFG A/T.
