Welding Sliders Help
Struggling to find a shop that will weld my TG sliders. What type of shop did some of you go to? The places I've contacted either don't have a lift or just can't do it. There is a Off Road Custom shop right around the corner from me that would definitely do it, but they are really over the top expensive and they don't have the best reputation around town. If someone can suggest a shop in the Northern Va, DC, Md area or let me know what type of shop you went to to get them welded I'd greatly appreciate it! Thanks!

scuba's muffler shop is a good idea. It doesn't take much to weld those things on. Just someone that can lay decent bead.
My train of thought would be......."Oooo..another reason to buy a MIG!!"

Thanks for the responses! I have an appointment tomorrow with a muffler shop. Hopefully, I can get these on.
One of the shops that couldn't do it suggested this too. Thanks!
Thanks anyway. Nah...no friends that weld. I need more friends!
That's what I was thinking when they said they couldn't do it. Thanks for giving me a price range. I was thinking around $100 for the job.
Find a tech school in your area that offers a AWS certification (certified welders) and see if you can take it to them and have them do it on the cheap!
To bad your not closer. I would be glad to do it.
You don`t have any friends that can weld??

The muffler shop I went to this morning couldn't do it. They really didn't know how to anyway. Even though I brought illustrations/instructions. This is frustrating. I'll have to try other shops.

You can also look on CL under "Services"

Just cause someone can weld doesn't mean they will have a clue how to install sliders properly. Find an offroad shop or a local welder who wheels to do it for you. Getting it done for free is useless if it's wrong.
