Weird problem
I was just messing around on my tacoma and took it for a drive. I pushed the RR Lock button and drove about 5 feet.. Stopped. Then hit the button to turn it off and it just stayed on. The lights were staying on and everything.. it just wouldnt get out of lock mode... then I drove a couple more feet and heard a loud CLICK and it shut off... I drove for like 1/4 mile in normal mode and everything was all fine. I stopped and hit the RR lock button again.. drove a few feet.. then went to turn it off and the same thing happened again.. NOTHING.. Had to drive a few feet and wait for the CLICK for it to shut off........
Whats up with it??

That sounds pretty normal. The locker cannot engage or disengage if there is a torque difference between the two half shafts. Sometimes it take a few feet or even backing up to get things to equalize enough to engage or disengage.
