Cool Weekend Warrior Photos

Just a few photos of our trip this past weekend to Willow Springs, Llano & Tropico Mining Town. More can be found on the website (99% of previous problems should be fixed regarding Mozilla, FireFox & Opera). Thanks for your input everyone... I know I can always count on your help! Thanks again.

Thanks for looking. Ride On.

The lift is a Downey 3.5" coilover system (front) with Bilsteins & Rancho shocks. The ProComps are 31/10.5/15 MT's. On August 5th I am getting 285/75/16 BFG M/T with 16" Panther rims as well as new PowerSlot/Hawk brake system. My tires and rims will be going up for sale REALLY REALLY cheap if anyone is interested. The tires have at least 6 mos. left on them, maybe more. I also have a set of Pirelli stock tires that are 95% new. Those will be up for grabs as well in case anyone needs a set of everyday tires.

Cool

You're right... I should've drove up on it. Could've probably found some rocks to use as a "ramp" to get up it. Don't forget... I don't have a 4x4

So your going to sell it and buy one with 4 wheel drive, right? Seriously though, why put so much money into your 2wd (MT tires and all) when your obviously taking it off road?

You dont understand how cool those pics are. I actually miss Creosote bushes and Joshua trees. And those mountians in the 3rd pic are my kind of wheelin'.
The CA desert (whats left of it) is so much fun!

I won't be sellin' my truck... but I guarantee that the next one I buy will be a 4x4. Then I get to start the whole process again. I lke projects... I just need to find the money. As far as my next vehicle, I don't know what I'll get, but it'll be WAY bigger than this one and certainly be a 4-wheel drive truck. As far as why I am building this one up... I like the way they look.

I had never intended to go off-roading with my truck. So when choosing between the 4x4 and the 4x2 (cheaper and less maintanence), I chose the 4x2 and just decided to make it look like a 4x4. The one day, a trail called my name and I took it. When I was done, I wasn't the same. I knew I wanted to start driving off-road... thus realizing what a mistake I made by not choosing the 4x4. So far I've been on very mellow roads, which is good because my wife would kill me if I hurt the family car.

Thanks for the compliments on the photos. I will be going with my buddy Brett (with the Taco) this or next weekend to Caliente Springs near Santa Barbara. Should be fun and you can bet that there will be lots of photos! I'll post some when we get back and the rest will be on the website.

Just out of curiousity, has anyone else had any problems with accessing the site by the way? I spent yesterday morning with my programmer and we worked out bug fixes for Mozilla, FireFox & Opera. So all should be working fine, but you guys are the true test! Let me know if you have anymore problems. Thanks again.
