Watch a new Toyota being built here

A virtual tour of TMMK, Georgetown, Kentucky. Watch a new Toyota being built from start to finish. It isn't a truck, but the process is essentially the same for most vehicles produced worldwide. Enjoy!

Wow, I really enjoyed that. Not only did I not know that there is a Toyota plant in America, I was also mezmorized by the processes. I am in College to be a manufacturing engineer (this beeing my 3rd year) so it was really cool to see all the stuff I have been learning about put into use. I would love to oversee production at a facility like that some day (hopefully some day soon).

Here's another one for you. The Tacoma is assembled in Freemont California.

"The Tacoma serves up the winning Toyota recipe by the bucketful. Yet, the truck, which isn't assembled in Tuntutuliak or even Tacoma but in Freemont, California..."

"The result is a ride expunged of creaks and body shivers, even when clobbered by the mini-McKinley frost heaves between Fairbanks and Buckshot Betty's diner in Beaver Creek, Yukon Territory."

Good eatin' at Buckshot Betty's, especially the burgers
I love it when they test new vehicles up this way, it's neat reading the final article.

The majority of Toyotas sold in America are made in North America. More info. Toyota exports U.S. made vehicles to other countries. The current head of Toyota came up through the manufacturing division. They're always hiring and have never had a layoff in North America.

They are also building a Tundra plant in San Antonio. The goal is to make a run at the big three in Texas, which is by far the largest pickup truck market in the country.
