Has anyone had a Walbro 190lph failure? If so, can you let me know any warning signs?

Over the last 2 days, I've noticed that my pump has gone from barely audible to downright loud. (turns heads) I'm curious if this is just a figment of resonance frequency? I dont' want to pull the tank just for inspection - but would if someone has had a similar experience. If I pull the tank without anyfeedback, I'll swap pumps. maybe fuel filter too. again.

Pump has 60k on it. Probably 5 years of service.

My truck used to be supercharged (previous owner), and it had all the upgraded fuel mods, including a Walbro in the tank. He did NOT remove the walbro when he sold the supercharger, so it's still in there.

It's pretty loud. At first it worried me, but I figured I wouldn't fret about it until something actually went south. All this to say...I think they can get kinda loud and still be fine.

I had a Walbro 190 in my Mustang 5.0 and it was pretty dang loud. But if yours got much louder than when it was new, then perhaps you may have an issue.
The original fuel pump in that Stang was silent until before it went out, just as you said. Maybe you should source a new one so you can have it on hand if it does go.

I wouldn't say if I'd say when. It's a mechanical part failure is just a matter of time, if it's acting weird you might as well just grab a new one to have on hand. You'll get to use it, be it a day from now or ten years.

Ordered. Of course the pump has been back to its usual noise level since then. But, at least I will have it on-hand whenever it goes out.
