VSC and Check light

Last night, I took my 4Runner (014wd Sport) for a drive, and both the VSC lights on th elower left of the instrument panel were on (they are the orange lights). Also, the check light (also orange), just to the right of the gas gauge was on. I do not have a book in my glove compartment, and was hoping someone could help me out. My fiance drives it most of the time, and I am going out of town on Friday, and want to make sure its ok. Thanks

that is the check engine light.

go to your local autozone and get the engine code pulled. then come back here and search for it.

chances are its the typical MAF/02 sensor issue.

P0300 is my code (multiple random misfires)

A little scenario - 4runner was fine saturday night. Sunday afternoon, I used the 4runner to jump my jeep since the jeep battery had died. When I started it up to take it out last night, the check light was on.

Any suggestions would be great. I told her to stop and fill up with premium gas and when I get home I'm going to unhook the battery for a few minutes, just to see. After that, what? Plugs and wires? Injectors?

Thanks for the help

I dont want to jinx it and claim "fixed" but so far, it seems ok. I disconnected the battery for half an hour (wasnt sure how long for reset, no biggie, i made dinner while i waited) and hooked it back up and seems ok, the check light went out (along with the vsc lights turning out also). It runs as great as always. So we shall see...
