The vortex sounds killer on the 3.4. I had one on there, sounded great. There was a sound clip floating around, I just don't know where it is nowadays.

I have one on my 3.0L and it sounds good, but nowhere near as good as the 3.4. The 3.0 doesnt flow as much so I guess thats why its not as good.

Heres a pic of the poor old muffler

Still no leaks after 5 years. Best muffler I've ever had!

Too bad I'm going to cut it off and either skip the muffler or put in a glass pack!

Yup. Like I said, the 3.0 doesn't flow as much as the 3.4, so its a lot quieter. Plus, I want something obnoxiously loud.

toyota's do this if they are slightly low in the brake fluid department. top it off, and it shouldnt be a prob. im not sure this is the case, but works for most.

oh and as for the muffler, ive been seriously considering getting one from jason, i just really want to stay as far away as possible from Ricey sound in my wee little 4 cylinder, so im still thinking about it. any notice in power difference?

x2! My truck was doing the same brake light thing. I added a bit of fluid and it was all good!

Awesome sounding truck!

FYI if your fluid level is low enough to set off the light, either your brake pads are wearing down prettly low, or you've got a leak. Either way you should go through your brakes ASAP.

hey whats up guys, im new to the yota scene and im looking for a deep mellow muffler for my 4runner. I really like the sound of the videos from fireteacher. Im confused though b/c he calls his muffler a vortex classic, and then there is the one you guys were talking about, the cherry bomb vortex by maremont. my question is are they the same or different?

I believe that they are different. I am not 100% positive but I think it is a size thing. Maybe someone else can help out.
