Voodoo Blue 4Runner?
Yeah yeah it's a horrible editing job. Just a quicky to get an idea. I'm a huge fan of the FJ's Voodoo Blue and have yet to see it on a 4Runner. Plan is to pull off the skirts and flares and Rhino Line them also front and rear bumpers will be gone, front is on it's way from Addicted Offroad.
I'm lookin into getting a cheap paint job from Sprayglo or Maaco. No sense in dropping too much $ since it's going right back in the woods, just want an original look. My clear is peeling off the hood and fenders are fading. Got a few dings I'd like to see gone as well.
I guess I'm digging for opinions and. How much do you think it will cost? $300-500? That's about all I'd throw at it. This local SprayGlo is supposed to be reall good as far as cheap paint shops go. I've seen some of their work and they did a good prep job, no over spray and nice finish. Not show car quality but that's not what I'm looking for.
If you know of another 4Runner that's already done this, I'll be bummed that mine won't be original but I'd still do it and like to see some pics.
Looks like the pic didn't work so here's a link just in case. http://www.toyota-4runner.org/3rd-ge...e-4runner.html
This is my first post, can someone PM me on how to insert pics and/or attachments? Thanks

I got your message in the other thread but figured I'd post here. So as luck would have it I almost have a voodoo blue 4runner. It's not quite the same color as the fj but it's close. I didn't particularly like the color, but I just bought it last July. I really wanted a green one (this one is green under the hood and in the door jams), but color wasn't a dealbreaker. I got this one with 178k on it for 3,500 and figured I could change the color. The more I have it the more it grows on me. There is a long list to do before I paint it but I hope this helps with what you're trying to do to yours. Sorry about the big pictures.

Be the first olive drab 3rd gen... Some ideas https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f123...-think-212393/
My red paint has oxidized so badly that I'm considering it.
Those shades of blue reflect the rainbow colors of skittles and gayness.

If you do that blue color on the 4runner, I think it will look better if you have the wheel flares and bumpers be black. I think that color needs to be broken up a little bit, then it looks really good. The FJ's have alot of items breaking up the color with the roof, mirrors and flares/trim being different colors.
I like the look of yota runner's edit. I think the bug deflector on the hood also improves the look; it breaks up the color over the front of the hood. Painting the mirrors black I think would look good as well.
