Lazybummm

Hey folks, I have a 86 4runner I am trying to figure what is wrong with my car. When I use the turning signals for example, the voltage moves up and down in unison with the signals, same go's for windshield wipers and what not. I had thought originally it was the alternator, well it did die on me...on the way to mammoth from LA, luckily it died in mojave where an autozone was around, so I was able to buy a new one and put it in right there. Well even with the new alternator(putting more volts out than ever) the gauge still fluctuates!
Also anyone know where the fuses are for the interior lights? underhood or driverside kick panel, was looking for them, and in the book, couldn't find it for some reason. And any advice on how to diagnose eletrical problems? Is there a capacitor in the car for running these things that may be bad? thanks in advance!

This might be a lose or missing ground strap. You could have broken one or it has enough corrosion now to have a faulty contact. Go ahea and check all your ground straps. And maybe add a couple from the motor to frame and frame to body just to be safe. Ground straps are cheap and easy to install.
And I would also check your positive battery cable on both sides of the connection.
