valve adjustment - anybody in seattle want to help me do it?
hi,
i need to adjust the valves in my '89 4runner 22re. i've never done this on a car before but i've done it on motorcycles a few times. calling around, shops want to charge anywhere from $150-200, which seems like a lot. any good mechanics want to help me do it or charge me less than shop rates? i'd like to help so i can learn to do it myself.
i also need to replace one of the front CV's but i've never done that and $250-$350 seems like a lot.

Sorry, Seattle is too far to drive to get my hands dirty , but as for the CV joint some people on here have talked about new axles with both CVs from Autozone, about $100 each I think. Cheaper than one joint and a lot less work.
