Exclamation URD Fuel Kit Upgrade Installation

I thought I had someone lined up to help me with this install, but I haven't heard from him in more than a week. As a result, I am going to try and tackle this job by myself, and without a safety net. Boy am I in over my head....

I am searching for anyone who has installed this kit. I'd like to know how it went for you, what problems you encountered and the solutions you devised. While you are at it, if you could offer some measurement of you experience that would be great too.

By the way, does anyone know where to pick up a tensionometer?

This is not a quick upgrade. It took me(with help) around 8 hours with a few interuptions. Granted there were two of us working this is not for the novice. The directions that come with the URD kit are excellent. Gadget has been a great source of information and aid with tuning this kit. He is THE best resource for questions.

I hope to accomplish it in two days. Day 1: Fuel Injectors and Thermostat. Day 2: FTC and Fuel Pump.

Is there any reason why I should NOT install the injectors first? I think they will take the longest of any of it, so I'd prefer to get it out of the way first. If something happens and I cannot install the fuel pump, will having the larger injectors already installed cause a problem?

I'd switch your days and ditch the thermo until you run everything else together, especially during the winter. If you install the injectors without anything to control them you'll run pretty rich and your engine won't be happy. If you installed your SC yourself you shouldn't find the injectors to be too big a chore, just be careful with the o-rings.
