Upper Timing Idler Question 3vze

Is there suppose to be a gasket between the upper Timing Idler and the Intake Manifold or do you just use Sealant?

Toyota recommends sealant, and as far as I know there is no such gasket available. When you buy a new idler from Toyota, the sealant is pre installed by the factory. You can use a good quality RTV, but I would suggest a product form Permatex called "The Right Stuff" for any job that requires sealant. If you have never used it, get it now and you will never go back!
