Upper Balljoint hitting coils?
Upper Balljoint hitting coils?
Just currious to see if anyone has experienced this problem with their spacer lift or OME lift (using 881 coils up front). I had the truck in for inspection and noticed that the upper ball joint (i.e. where the upper ball joint is in the steering knuckle) is in contact with the coil on both sides of the truck with the truck up on the lift at the garage.
I used custom spacers for 1.5" of lift with Rancho 5000 shocks. (The pics can be seen by following the link in my sig below.) Anyhow just wondering if I should consider a limiting strap?
Cheers,
P

Thanks for the feedback. Have you heard of anyone having a coil break because of this? I guess I'll have to look at setting up a limiting strap. i'll take a look at your website. I can't read it properly here because this computer is fu#!$%
