upgraded frame to engine grounds

I removed the cheezy 10 and 12 gauge engine grounds and replaced most of them with 8 gauge and 4 gauge wire from the battery to the block. I put on a new a gold plated brass ground terminal to the battery it looks way better than what was on there. In all I added 2 extra grounds from the body to the engine it seems like it starts a little stronger now and the lights seem a little brighter. Anyone else have these results?

You can see the 4 gauge wire going to the side of the head.
I still have to get some zip ties and some wire covering to clean things up. I also need to install a fuse block for some of the extra accessories going to the battery.
I think overall it's a improvement over stock wiring I could have done eveything up with 0/2 gauge but I thought that would be a little much and this would be sufficient enough.

I used 1/0 welding cable for my grounds, makes big difference in the starter, I can now start in gear in high range, especially when I kick the 2nd battery into the circuit.

Nice!

Ever since I figured out my electrical monster I have been slowly upgrading the main electrical wires for +/-

Needless to say - at a certain point you can feel the difference quite easily. Weather that is new power or re-claimed power...I will leave that to those who like to argue on the internet Eitherway...I found a cheap and easy way to get some 'mo better' power

Yea, I still think I might do the main power upgrade you did. I upgraded my grounds and didn't have any noticable diference but at least now I know it's as good as it will get.

in japan, they sell these "earthing" kits in the triple digits...

dont forget, electrons travel from ground and back to your positive.

the puny 12 or 10 gauge OEM ground was next to useless.

first time i had m head gasket done around 93/94, i had them upgrade the main ground to a 4 gauge.

10 years later, i have to redo the wires again...

these guys found 5.3hp and 16.3 ft/lbs of torque on an old eagle talon by grounding things properly. I have done the same and my knock sensor codes are completly gone now as well as the lights and things you mentioned.

If you have any idea of how much current you need to move you can figure correct wire guage here.

Dose anybody know where all the ground points are on a 90 4runner auto 3.0?? I know there is one that comes off the fire wall to the intake chamber, one form the driver side fender to the head and one form the battery to passenger side inner fender. Am I missing any? I am sure I am!

I am asking because I want to check them all out and make sure they are there . sense I have found some missing or unhooked wires here and there.
Is there a diagram that shows all the grounds?

And last but not lest! two of the ground wires on my rig are smaller then they should be. what problems could this cause??
