up and down idle problem and blower motor problem...need help...

i just got my truck back from my brother...its a 92 pickup with the 22re motor, approx. 256k on it. anyway, we recently went through some trouble with the car blowing the efi fuse, and it ended up being the o2 sensor wiring shorting out and causing that. well after all the hassle that was replaced and no more fuses are popping.
but now, and from what my brother told me when he initially got it from me, its idle fluctuates up and down between 800 and 1200 rpm. doesnt die, and it doesnt choke or anything, just fluctuates. sounds like there is an exhaust leak around the o2 sensor area...but that was there before and i never had anything except a rock solid idle. any ideas on this or quick hopefully cheap fix answers? ive owned the truck for just over a year now and havent had a problem with it until my damn brother got his hands on it and half a day later it stopped running.

then my next thing is the blower motor is no longer functioning to push air through the cabin...is there a write up on how to fix this and is it an easy fix? im somewhat of a capable mechanic as i had a 91 toyota mr2 turbo before and did a majority of my own work.

anyway all the help would be greatly greatly appreciated as at the moment im fairly broke because of school and other issues. please email me at nberensonallan@comcast.net or IM me at OMX69 or post on here.

Any chance the idle up and down happens when the brakes are in? If so, see:

Try checking the Throttle Position Sensor idle setting, if it is off, you engine will not idle smoothly:

Troubleshoot and repair either the blower motor resistor (if the low speeds - only, are gone) or the blower motor (if all speeds are slow):

awesome, and thanks for the reply!!! as for the blower, as far as i know there is absolutely no action of the motor working, no speeds at all.
for the brakes being associated with the idle, i didnt think to associate that, so ill take a look at that tomorrow.
