U joint ?

my buddys got a 2000 tacoma extended cab and were doin his u joints. We got the one closet to the engine and the one closest to the axle. But we cant seem to find the right u joint to fit the middle ones. It seems to big to fit the caps fit but when we press them in enough to get the c clips in the u joint binds up. Does anyone no if its a dealer part or why we could be having so much trouble with it. thanks!
