That's no where near a bolt on kit. You're looking at lots of piping, fuel upgrades, timing controllers, tranny upgrades, etc..... Big $$$

depending on which engine its going on you'll probably have ot build some manifolds, fab up all the piping and intercooler mounts, all the electronics for the turbo, fuel upgrades like gapguy said above...big money but it doable

its nothing like a bolt on super charger.....adding a turbo charger is alot of work on comparison....

and what kinda of turbo is that? generic?...sleave is better then ball bearing? what a laugh....

You get get alot better turbo for a little bit more, but you are still gonna have to do alot of fab work...

skip the tornado...it dosnt work. skip the electric supercharger...2.0 psi MAX and its loud as hell...and over priced.

go with the TRD SC, no turbo lag, more consistant power bend, and better low end torque

Uhm, that is TRULY a piece of crap turbo. The only turbos I've seen that NEED a 4" inlet are 600+whp turbos. 1.0 A/R will make the turbo lag to hell. Think 5krpm full spool, if it dosen't actually eat itself before then. I have no idea where he would get someone to mount a t61 compressor wheel in a HOLSET housing (the ONLY people who use map width enhancement, and it does work rather well. On a side note, Holsets are used on Cummins turbo diesels, and the smallest housing is 12cm, which you couldn't even spool on a 2 litre. The turbo is truly horrendous. If you want something half way decent get a Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Evo 3 16G. It supports 300whp on pump gas. As well, if you have to ask if it's possible to make it work, you TRULY do not have the knowledge to turbo a NA car. ESPECIALLY with the engine management systems in modern Toyotas. It isn't like it's some old OBD1 Civic hatch.

Oh, and the waste gate is so small if you could get it spool it would creep wayyyyy high (think 28-35 psi) and neither motor you asked about could support it.

Oh, also, Garret, Turbonetics, PTE all offer 1+year warranties on their ball bearing turbos.

He would also get less gains overall due to the nature of a SC. You can build turbo kits that will start making boost at 1700rpm, and have better overall gains until about 4500 or 5krpm.
