tundra/OME coil lift experianced ones!!
what are the recommendations, i want to run 255's and can't swing the coilovers right now.
so i'm down to the OME 881's(1.5" lift) or the tundra coils(2.5"lift)
the OME setup is about $360 and the tundra is $400 or maybe a little less

i really like the tundra coils, they are a bit stiff, but im sure once i get my front bumper with a winch, they will be perfect.
i dont get a ton of flex out of the front, but most people dont with ANY setup with IFS. stuff like removing the front sway bar will help with flex.
im assuming you are talking about 255/85r16's, you will most likely rub in the wheelwells up front on the plastic liner and pinchweld. there are plenty topics here (esp relating to the 285's) on how to clear those things.

I love my Tundra coils up front. Havent had a problem with the pinch weld yet on 285 MTR's, changing to 285 BFG's or Nittos next week and will see how that goes...as for dealing with the pinch weld...get a BFH and hit away.

i have the sonoran steel kit, he uses trd 4x4 coils, im not sure how other coils work.
i would assume 4x2 coils would be a lower spring rate to compensate for the lack of a few hundred pounds sitting up close to the front wheels. and i am taking a shot in the dark to say the trd coils are probably stiffer also.
again, i have NO data to support those claims, that just seems like common sense to me. there is a place on the internet that has everything you ever wanted to know about lifts but were afraid to ask. pm me if you dont already know.

does anyone have the coil part #, and are there any other parts i will need. can i use my current struts that are on my taco?
i checked with toyota this morning, and the trd 4x4 coils are $142 each, and $113 with my discount.

Love the setup. It is stiff. I'm running Tokicos up front and the OEM Landcruiser shocks in the rear. They are very inexpensive "$30 bucks for the pair" ,and the ride is great! Goodluck!

i got the coils off of an 02 tundra, so i need shocks. sonoran uses TRD bilstein/not HD on their kits.
i just need the part #

warning about the trekmasters - if you can even find them, the top nut supplied is inch, while the threadded shaft is metric. you will need to go get m12x1.25 nylock nuts for yours if you get them.
i found this out the hard way:
as for sequia coils, with nothing to back this up, i would assume they would be softer, as they are not intended to carry heavy loads like the tundra was. i also doubt there was a trd version of those coils.

I just used the stock nut that was on the Toyota setup originally. I didn't even want to take a chance putting a Nyloc on there. For anyone looking, I got my front Tokicos from AJUSA for $119.w/Free shipping.
