Tundra coils and 2 top-out spacer Q?

Anyone running 2 top-out spacers on top of their Tundra coils? I recently installed LC coils in the rear and I'm trying to bring the front end up a bit more to lessen the forward rake. I'm just wondering if it'd be too much angle on the CV's if I did this. I do have a 1" diff drop in the front BTW.

I believe Steve and everyone else strongly discourages running 2 top out spacers without also running limiting straps.

The reason being is not that the extra .5 or .25 inches you gain from the spacer will be detrimentally strenuous on your CV axles but rather that the topout spacer actually increases the overall length of your shock which can cause you to have too much extension under offroad situations. This over extension and droop will cause you to break CV's left and right.

I hope it explained that right. I know Steve can. You should call him but I know there is a thread on here where it was discussed because xcmountain80 is running 2 topouts with limiting straps...

Edit: I found it, https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f2/w...90/index2.html

Man I did a search but couldn't find anything remotely helpful so THANKS!!! It was really tempting to throw another spacer in there but after reading Steves reasonings on why not to do it I've changed my mind. Thanks again for the link!

Haha no problem man, I'm glad that thread helped you make your decision.

I know dude the Search functions really funny. When you really need something, you won't be able to find it. I just knew exactly where the one was since I'd read it not too long ago before doing my SS 7.2 lift.

How do those 35's and stock gears ride?

The ride is surprisingly good now that I have the LC/Tundra set-up as opposed to the Revtek lift that it replaced. Absolutely no comparison! I just got back from a trip up a local creek, about a 50 klm run of dry deactivated logging road that had a foot and a half of snow through a mountain pass and overall I'm quite happy with the ride mind you it's really noticable that I do need to regear here in the future as I had trouble keeping the revs up in 4lo 3rd gear in the snow. She bogs down pretty quickly. On the highway I usually keep it in 5th but on the hills she has a hard time keeping up and I need to downshift to 4th to keep the speed at a constant 100kph. The power loss with the 35's is much more noticable than the 33'' Revos that I had before. Still I'm happy with the overall package.
