Trying to avoid Rollover for 4runner
I have a 99 Limited 4WD that is stock except for TRD exhaust. I know 4runners are capable of rolling over. Has anyone done anything to their 4runners to reduce body roll?
I don't want to lower it any though.

1> don't throw weight on the top of the 4runner... this way cog will be lower.
2> drive slow and pick solid lines that'll be safe and not stupid.
3> driver error is usually the reason why vehicles will roll...
no matter whatcha do, as soon as you raise it (or keep it stock), if your vehicle is sitting at an extreme angle, it'll roll... nothing you can do to prevent it... just drive safe

given a certain stance width and CoG, you can decrease rollover tendency by using stiffer springs (as long as they aren't don't lift it) and stiffer shocks (shocks with good low-speed damping). For example, if IAS shocks work the way they claim, they would certainly help.

Where in NH are you? I grew up in Auburn (right outside of Manchester). At any rate, there are sway bar kits that will significantly improve body-roll. These are great for on-road performance, but will limit articulation off-road (the reason why people go with sway-bar disconnects). Look around on the web and you'll find them.

It sounds like you're looking for onroad handling, rather than off road anti-flopping. The best thing you can do is not drive your 4runner like a car. It's a truck with a high center of gravity, and as such, will handle like a truck.

I was talking to my folks a couple days ago, sounds like the snow is finally melting off, and beginning to feel like spring. Only be a matter of time before those viscous black flies come out though

You can do anti-sway bars
To reduce probabillty of roll, lower your center of gravity with lowering springs and add some anti-sway bars. The anti-sway bars will reduce the pitch or roll of the 4Runner when you turn at speed, but the best piece of advice I can give you is just to drive safely.

kinda off subject, but..i almost rolled my car down a hill friday while offroading...heres a tip...dont get yourself in a position where you might roll ...its definatly no bueno
