Truck Toolboxes
i need t oget a toolbox for my truck... however, the size and spacing i need only comes with boxes that are like $500! i cant have this! what has everyone here done when faced with a problem like this? i may end up making my own box out of sheet steel and then jsut painting it to avoid rust... what does wveryone think of that? it might be troublesome, but i have got to do something....

Check out that site in the other thread and e-mail the guy. When I talked to him he was VERY friendly and eager to help.
Funny story, I accidentally locked my keys into the box the 1st night I got it :pat:
I e-mailed the guy and he had new keys sent out to me (free of charge and that included not paying for shipping) almost immediately.
The box may not be as thick as some of those commercial places but it serves my purposes and I'll definitely be keeping them in mind if/when I ever need another toolbox.

I have a toolbox sitting in my back yard that came out of my cousin's truck. It is kind of beat, but it works. It is out of his Chevy, but it fit in the back of my Toyota when I brought it home. I do not have the key for the lock and I think there is a hole in it for a CB antenna. With a little work it would be a good toolbox lock a few things in. You can have it if you want to come to Sonora and get it or maybe give me some gas money for delivery.
