I just got some 255/85/r16 KM2's on my 98 4 runner I need to know what part to trim and what parts I should be hammering... Should I take off the little plastic cover that goes inside the fender well? I also took off the black plastic trim... please help!!!

its the pinch weld at the bottom of the wheel well on the fire wall side. you have to take the plastic fender liner out to see it. it will make sence then to hammer it over to bend it flat. that will help greatly but you will still rub. aoh and dont forget to seal that area so water cant get in the pinch weld after you talk to it with the hammer

Can someone post a pic of exactly where it is Im having trouble figuring out what part is the pinch weld... It's not as simple as cut and hammer I don't want to rip my truck to . I think I get what part it is but I guess I already messed up because I tore out that plastic liner inside the fender well and can see some dressed wires in there...

Is that a No no taking out that plastic cover inside the fender well??? Now I can see dressed wires n stuff... I found the pinch weld but I cant reach the lugs on my new rims with the tire iron so ill have to do it another day till then it will have to rub in town. Im having trouble taking of the plastic fender well covers the bolts just keep spinning and I can't get anything on the other side because there is a crap load of dirt dried up.

I under stand how to do the pinch weld now but Im just taking the tires off and selling the rims and waiting till I get my lift because they are rubbing to much on the pinch weld. I know If I hammer it, it wont rub but Id just rather wait I guess...
