trdparts4u.com has it for $719. Here's the link: http://www.trdparts4u.com/
At PP, it's either $630 or $735 depending on whether you have one or two catalytic converters. Here's the link: http://www.performanceproducts.com/p...&vehicle=27872
But the cool thing is that PP gets their parts from Northridge Toyota. Ethan, a member of this board, offers yotatech members 25% off. You can probably get a deal if you call Ethan. If you do get a better price, please post up for others. I know that Gadget recommends this exhaust over other cat-back systems for the 3rd gens.

i ordered my exhaust the other day for my 4runner. i found it at trdracing.com for $474.49 for a single cat. and $566.07 for two cats. they do not have any pictures of it on their website, so i e-mailed them with lots of questions. they assured me that it is the same trd exhaust that i would find anywhere else just much cheaper. so i ordered one from them this past friday. i guess i will just have to wait and see what i get, but i did order it from a toyota dealership in houston, tx.

I had a look at the performance products website and they show a TRD exhaust with dual pipes. Is this actually the one for 3rd gen runners or is it for another application. If memory serves me correctly, the TRD exhaust was a single pipe to the tip.

the tip will rust and the muffler is on the quieter side. I babied my tip too. But if you are not looking for that throaty sound, you can always replace the tip later.

I did the exhaust thing. "Buds Muffler" here in Denver was great. Only my muffler needed replacing. He told me that the stock Cat and the 2.25" pipes gave good flow. We first tried an Areo Turbine
http://www.aero-turbine.com/?flash=1
Way too loud! Not much performance gain.
Then we tried the Areo Turbine plus a magnaflow. Still too loud! Not much performance gain.
Then we went to two magnaflows. Still too loud! Not much performance gain.
Then we went to a "Stock Replacement" Definitly flows beter than stock. Some performance gain, mellow purr that sounds good but you can cruise all day and not go deaf. Mellow even pushing it hard up the mountains.
Worth the change!

from my understanding there are or where two types of trd exhausts that are made for the 4runner. the first is older and is not made anymore, and was made by borla that exited straight out of the back. the newer one exits in the stock location and i do not know who makes it. i was wondering if this is true and if so which one are yall complaining about?

anyone ever try to put a straight pipe on? maybe put a flanged section so when it comes time for emission tests, unbolt the flanged section and slap in the cadalidic converter, once passed remove. do the benifits outway the cost on this? other than hurting mother nature, would this improve mpg/hp?
