TRD exhaust?
does anyone have the TRD cat back exhaust system made specifically for 3rd gen 4runners? if so do you think its worth the $600? i just got my stimulus check and i was thinking of putting it into my 4runner.

no, it is not worth jack....what are you expecting a cat back to do ? make some noise ? ...maybe...make some power ? ...hell no
you can flush your money down the toilet any way you
want....but the smart person will use it for something tangible

It aint worth the cash imho. A good flowmaster or borla or magnaflow muffler will do the same.
A friend of mine has it b/c I get the whole setup for 250 bucks, yea it sounds good but it aint worth 600 bones.

thats what i was thinking, 600 seems like a lot of money. im new to all this stuff and i was wondering if its a good idea to replace the pipes as well as the muffler or if just putting in a good muffler will be good. im going for a better sound and maybe a slight increase in hp. how do i know what will fit on my truck, also if new pipes are a good idea what size is good?

Go with a magnaflow or flowmaster 18 to 24 inch muffler (I prefer the magnaflow). If you are doing pipes too, go with 2.25 or 2.5 inch but no bigger or you will lose some low end.
