Actually....there are certified TRD Toyota dealerships. We have one here in Phoenix. There are about a dozen dealerships in town but only one is TRD certified. They sell TRD 4 Runners. They are equipt with all the TRD goodies and one hell of a mark-up sticker on them. I checked them out when I was looking for mine. I know awhile back, TRD listed the certified dealerships on their website. These TRD 4 Runners are all dealer installed options. Not from the motherland.

Everyone is correct. No such thing as a TRD package on the Runner. I have sorta made my 2nd Gen into one. The TRD Taco comes with 16" wheels, fender flares, Bilsteins, and the Rear Locker. That's about it. Oh ya and a cool Decal!

I agree with pfdaxe

One of the dealerships here is also TRD certified ans they have the phattest rides in town, these rides are the talk of the town. I have seen 3rd gen. 4Runners and Tacomas with TRD superchargers pre-installed, a special interior trim (dash kit) with leather seats displaying a TRD Luxury Sport logo, TRD air filter and exhaust, TRD tranny cooler, some with TRD headers, TRD floormats, and exterior TRD badging. I have also seen Sequoias and Tundras with similar packages, TRD supercharger pre-installed, again, the TRD Luxury Sport leather seats, unique dash trim, TRD Dual exhaust and air filter, TRD Tranny cooler, and some even with 18-20 inch wheels, and of course no SR5 or Limited badging, just TRD and Supercharged badges everywhere. Now I dont know if you can call these TRD from the fatory because I dont know where they install all these TRD parts, factory, port or dealer but they are heavily equipped with TRD products. Oh, and you better have a deep pocket to buy these, they are not cheap at all!

Dealer installed TRD Packages... I will be that those cost an arm and a leg! They probably charge labor for installing the "TRD floormats"

Don't forget about 4 wheel anti-lock brakes. If I remember correctly, I couldn't get the anti-lock, without getting the TRD Off-Road package. It was actually a pretty good deal. Under $2000 for the wheels, tires, suspention, locker, and anti-lock. You couldn't add all that stuff to the truck for anywhere near that kind of money.

Actually, for 2003 year model, I believe ALL Tacomas come with standard ABS(anti-lock brakes), with EBD(electronic brakeforce distribution), and BA(brake assist). As for 2002, I didnt know you had to get the TRD package to get ABS.
