Transmission Temperature

Dad gum it...

I just replaced my 3vze - and it is running like a swiss watch. I take it out for it's first drive... No problem.

Then I drive it a bit more - put on the A/C and a couple of miles later - 3 warning lights fire up --- the A/T Temperature light - The Battery Light - and the Brake LIght ---

When I gun the engine they go out. then come back on --- any ideas???

Alternator. Check voltage at idle and 2500rpm with no accesories on you sould get about 14 volts. Aslo check you belt it may be loose.
Cheers,
Nathan

Thanks alot... I think that the Alternator is the culprit.

The interior Charging gauge looks good. But, the lights go out when reved over 2500.

If I unplug the 3 wire connector - the light goes out. But it is still charging.

This is a Rebuilt Alternator that I put in when I rebuilt the engine - I think it is bad. Will replace tomorrow.

I'll let you all know the outcome
