Talking Transmission Swap? 3.0? 6-speed?

well my manual 5-speed trans is grinding in some gears and the has brand ne clutch and flywheel. and i would really like a 6-speed for those high speed cruise. has anybody done this? i mean i got 4wd drive so that will probablly limit my selection. well if any body has any info lmk!

At one time I thought the same since I live in a relatively flat area and it felt like a downshift on the freeway would be great. After driving long distance I now know the 3.0 is not up to any hills at highway speeds. If you want to slow the RPM's a little try going up a tire size.

Huh. I turn a little over 3000 at 75. Perhaps you have 4.56 gears and are running those small tires? Stock for 4.56 was 31's.

I was actually thinking about this also. It'd be nice to have low rpms at high way speed. I'd imagine that it isn't incredibly easy though. Supras don't have a t-case bolted to the back of them.
