Transmission Solenoid

Can someone explain where and how to (if possible) test the transmission solenoid. My V6 Auto seems to "buck" when stopping and taking off as if it is not fully shifting. Please help.

hey man how's it going? I'm pretty much new here but i came here with similar problems to yours. I, personally, went to a tranny shop and had them check for trouble codes. That's probably the best place to start. There is a ton of info and advice if you just look around on this site for a bit. Look further down this list for my thread "a 340h woes, no.4 solenoid" those guys that gave me input seem to know alot about trannys. good luck

Tranny problem

Tim- welcome and thanks for the comment. Do you or anyone know where I can test the tranny for codes, like how I can test the engine by connecting the TE1 and E1 connections?? I'm trying to do all I can before taking to the shop and giving them an arm and leg.

Get the trans codes the same way, but make sure the OD switch is pushed in, and read the OD light on the dash. I believe the solenoid codes start with 6 flashes, eg 6 1 is #1 solenoid .Someone correct if I'm wrong
