Transmission kinda slipping?

When my transmission is cold, I will put the truck in drive and go for the end of the driveway, but then the gears would disengage when I apply the brakes. Then, pressing on the gas or just leaving my foot on the break, the gears will engage again and the truck will get that jolt like somebody just nudges the back end of my truck with their bumper.

I think my transmission is the A43D. It is Automatic on a 2WD 22RE.

Would a complete flush and fill help me here or am I up for a rebuild?

It could just be low on fluid, but a few drains and refills probably wont hurt.

It's not low but the color is getting dark. I've heard that getting it cleaned out isn't a good thing to do because it will cause the tranny to leak?

Naw...old wives tale. Id try the Seafoam trans cleaner & then have the fluid changed to some good synthetic stuff like Mobil 1.
