hello everyone. i'm fairly new to the board... this being my first post. i hail from arizona and am the proud owner of a 92 runner... i will post some photos eventually, but it's one in the morning and my mind is already in bed.

my question is about my friend's 93 runner (automatic), which she purchased a couple of months ago. it's been running fine up until recently. she told me that whenever she let's off the gas during lower speed travel, the transmission seems to shift into neutral. also, after reversing and shifting into drive, she hits the gas and the truck continues backward, shutters, and then leaps forward. i've experienced some shuttering in the past with my 4runner, but it has never shifted unless i tell it to. has anyone experienced anything like this? is it just an electrical problem... or worse?

Welcome to the board and I must say, nice avatar!!!
Can't really help on the tranny problem other than to suggest checking the fluid level, mabye it's low.

thanks for the welcome shane! you're right, i told her last night to check her trans fluid. it was very low. so she filled it up and the problem is no more. simple. thanks for your help.
