The Transformation: Nerf Bars Installed
before
after
closer up
one bent broom pole and broken 3" extension bar later they're on
I tried using my puney tools from my house but they just wouldnt get those bolts to budge. i went over to the tire center at my work and used their air ipact wrences. took those bolts off like there was no tomorrow
using my tools it would have taken probably 3 or 4 hours
using their tools it took me 20 minutes go get both on
I LOVE these things!

Looks great! I've got the same ones in the wrinkle/rust finish. Watch the leading edges of those for rust after they get chipped up (keep paint on them...)

Those are exactly the same brand & model I ran before I got my sliderz.

They look real nice on your rig.

Well, it looks like Dr. Z is in a better mood
Sorry to hear about NWOR - I've picked up a few items from them but it has been awhile.
I had the same nerf bars on my 86 4Runner
I'm planning on BL sliders on my 954runner

I havent actually washed it with soap and water in over a month. I guess that's what happens when you have 3 coats of wax on there, dirt just wont stick to the paint.

I was kinda worried about the shipping & those were the original directions that I got w/ them.
When my ARB arrived at the shop I ordered it from it had a huge hole in that box. Talk about being worried. I guess one guy trying to carry that bumper around in a box was a bit much.

i sprayed my bolts with liquid wrench (IMO better than WD-40) the night before and reapplied the morning of. i still couldnt break those bolts free. and as you saw, it broke my extension bar
Impact wrench = teh win
I even torqued them on there to the right setting, 70lbs
