transfer case filler bolt (1st gen, 22re, 5 speed)

ok, so apparently i suck at using the search function. i'm fully sure that the answer is somewhere on yotatech. but for a question that is this simple, i figured i'd ask. i spent like a 1/2 hour to no avail using "search", and then gave up when i decided that i could post a thread and probably get the answer within 5 minutes. here it is:

i'm checking the fluid levels in my transfer case, tranny, and diff before i hit the dunes at silver lake this weekend just to be sure everything is good. i've never done this before. i can tell which bolt is which on the diff (any idiot could, i would hope). but i left my repair manual back at home (i'm at college) so i can't use it. on my transfer case (89 4runner, 22re, 5 speed), there is a larger bolt on both the drivers side AND the passenger side of the transfer case. i'm assuming one of them is the filler. which one? (if anyone happens to have pictures, that'd be great as well, just to be sure i'm not way off base). also, i am not tranny-knowledged at ALL and am unsure of where to start/look for the filler. just about all i know about tranny's is the location. any pictures here would be great also. thanks in advance!

hope to see some of you at the dunes this weekend. i hate being the ONLY toyota out there showing people how to climb a dune and pull out chevys!

tranny fill plug is on the drivers side, stick your little finger in, if you can touch oil just below the level of the hole you are fine.

Your tranny fill plug is on the driver's side just up the side from the drain plug. It's a 17mm bolt head. Use a 6pt socket or box end wrench to remove it if possible. It's going to be pretty tight and it may round off.
As for your xfer case, I'm pretty sure the fill plug is the one on the passenger side.

fill plug for the tcase is on the back of the case if i'm not mistaken, not the side. I'm almost 100% positive b/c the FROR tcase mount i have has a hole in it specifically for that reason and i clearly remember filling it from the rear of the t-case.

ok, so i spent some time lying on my back underneath the truck today studying the tranny and t-case carefully. from what i could see, there were 2 bolts (both on the drivers side) on the tranny that could easily have been a filler. i'm not sure which one to pull. as for the t-case, i see 1 bolt on the passenger side and one bolt on the rear of the t-case that both appear like they could be the filler holes. can someone with a repair manual look that up for me for verification? and if possible, scan the pages (with pictures) and send those? i'd really appreciate it. i really need to do this BEFORE i hit the dunes TOMORROW, so i'm kinda in a hurry. thanks a lot.

i have TWO bolts on the driver's side tranny that look like the fillers. they are roughly the same height from the ground to each other. one is about a foot or so closer to the front of the vehicle than the other. the one farther back is right by an electrical plug of some sort (speedo, possibly?) i know it's one of these 2, but i don't know WHICH one.
