Trail gear sliders / Manik grill guard finished

Got the sliders for 135 sgipped, painted them with rustoleum professional primer (2 coats) and finished them with rustoleum professional gloss black (2 coats). they are silver cans from home depot..less than 5 bucks each!

jon (4rnr) was kind enough to help me by welding them on. stand up guy for sure and full of knowledge.

pic of the sliders before touch ups were made

pic of manik guard, in need of touch up paint here and there but for 150! gimme a break!!!

pic of the manik with the sliders just after my 600 mile trip from memphis...(she needs a BATH!)

sliders touched up

just need some lights for the grill guard now!

I am running the cheap hella 500s around $60 bucks, they work well, but they are more of a driving light instead of a flood light so they shoot a more direct beam. i have them mounted on my basket, and i can only run them off road because i get high beamed in town. good luck the sliders look awsome!

Nice 4runner but...sliders and a brush guard? I'm just not a fan of brush guards at all. Your "fat lip" bumper (i have one) already has a significant decrease in approach angles...why would you want to make it even worse? It can actually cause more damage than it appears to protect. I also think it would look better without.
Sliders are nice for protection, brush guards are nice for bling and soccer moms.
My 2 cents.

man...what a mod killer. I think it all looks good. Not all of us are hardcore wheelers like you rocket.

Fire...your rig looks nice! I had a brush guard when I first started...they do look cool!

As for lights, either spend the money or just get the hella 500s. I have had the Hella 500s, PIAA 520s and now I have Lightforce 170s. The PIAA beat the Hellas, but the Lightforces destroyed them all!

local..the 500's are more what i am leaning towards. piaa's are crazy $$$$$$$$$$!!

Looks great man! Remember everyone has got to start somewhere. I've been working on mine for 4 years and just now feel i've actually started adding on the good stuff.

yes.

if you're gonna be going on trails that necessitate sliders, the brush guard will just be a hinderance.

but hey, gotta start somewhere, like jonathan said. i too had a bush guard and sliders for a while, glad i'm past that stage. not only do i appreciate the tjm for its funciton now, but i also just think it looks better than a brush guard.

as long as you're happy with your rig, that's what's important.

and that's super inexpensive for sliders shipped.

Does that Manik guard come without all the stuff on the side? I am looking for something like that or a Go-Rhino without all the stuff on the side and I don't need the Go-Rhino 3000 with the step on it.

only thing you can do with it is remove the little rungs covering the head lights. the sides are welded on mine! probably the way it came.

uhhh ohhh! i smell a battle coming along about some tjm and arb!

hey fuzion...i thought you said 15 hp....gimme my money back mister.
