Trading up for an 2000.....?
I've thought about trading my 96 4runner (183,xxx) for a 2000 limited with 120,xxx miles, fully loaded with the all-wheel drive opinion and rear locker 
. Asking price is 12500 which is in line with Blue book and NADA, only thing is I'd have a have car payment again and have to start modding agian.

sorry, had to be a smart sass. i guess it all depends on your budget and if you'd benefit more from the new beast. sounds like it has all the goodies though, cept for the mods you will add later. would you trade your other one in, and how much are they going to give you for it? maybe it wouldn't be that bad if you had a small short term loan with low payments.

For me, a lot of it would depend on how much you'll get for your current 4runner and the quality of the maintenance records on the newer one. Fully loaded is always a nice add-on, plus its good to treat yourself.
I am thinking of doing a similar trade-in myself if I can find the right 4Runner.
