I guess you guys think im an idiot, Ive been thinking about the 4x4 conversion and its just something I cant see being a feasble outcome.

here is the 4runner, it is a 2000 4wd sport pkg,

http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...g=1&cardist=28

what im wanting do know if their is something besides carfax in order to check this runner out, I have already talked to the sales manager and sales person, very nice people, want to make this happen as far as swapping my lift and crap onto this runner as they want mine with less miles

it does have 120k but only 14k more then mine.

Got a sorta from my mom but shes not totally sure. I am as I think its in great condition, and a little better then mine.

let me know all of your opinions, to be honest this is sorta a good opportunity but I will only go ahead with the right deal and right interest rate when they buy mine out and finance this one.

When I bought my 4runner I worked directly with the sales/fleet manager. He really didn't care too much what he got for it because he got paid no matter what unlike the salesmen. He gave me a good deal on mine. So try to see if you can work with one of the managers. Other than that considering I haven't seen your 4runner this one looks pretty good. Does it have the rear diff lock?

I'd say make sure the timing belt has been done. Otherwise, sounds good to me

it doesnt have the locker, but thats not that big of a problem.

Problem I see reverting my to stock is we flipped the stupid scab plates over the frame and now im not sure if I can even take my bodylift out, I may see if I can get a 1/4" pucks made for a 1/4 bodylift to accomodate those plates, or i can try and get the top of the plates cut off.

get it checked out by an independant shop. How about selling your runner on here first?

inless i can find some realllly cheap wheels, and stock suspenion so I could sell it and then buy another.

I do have a potential seller, my moms coworker has a son, going to see if we can do it that way and i will have money left over (arb air lockers front and rear come to mind).

Im going in for a test drive thursday, but it looks like I may be sporting around in a black 4runner for the rest of its career
