Toyota Salvage Yards?

Anyone know of some good Toyota salvage yards that have websites? If so, post away...Later.

Yotayard does. If you call them, they can tell you about and connect you to another yard close to them. I realize that the second one is not a website, but eh.

I went to Calera a few months ago, just shopping for the most part. I needed a drain plug on the right floorboard and got a quote of $5!!! He quoted me a price of $2500 and my 2.7L for a 3.4L! I passed and started asking him about gray interior for the 3rd Gen. 4Runner. He said they never made that! I was pretty pissed at his attitude and his knowledge so I left. I immediately called my local dealership and ordered the drain plug for $1 and some change.

If you notice, in the neighborhood leading to the junkyard, there is one big house that doesn't fit in. That's the owner's house. To sum it all up, I know that he has an outstanding selection but he was an a$$. I like walking through the yard and getting ideas of what I should get. Just call first and know what a good price is for the part you want.

I must agree Jim, they are less than helpful and the dude that answers the phone has smoked too much doobage, but for me they sure are close and I save the shipping. Next time you are down this way, gimme a holler and we'll do some trails in Gardendale.

LOL, I found one in Mobile, AL. Its for a '00. That would fit an '01 right? 2000's have the 2 vents with the clock in the center?

Yota yard probably has the most available parts I've seen. I think they know this because some of their parts are a bit pricey.

Tap recylcling has had some bad rappor from folks on the TTORA board and often when I call I get poor service and quotes for used parts that are almost twice what the dealer wants for new parts, just check all your sources and prices first before you go with them. Just my experience.

I got a driveshaft from TAP, not too bad service. Their prices are a way to high. But when I needed a part in a pinch, they had it. If I HAD no other choice, I would use them again. But if other options are available, then try someone else. IMO.
