Toyota Catalytic Converter $855.00!!!!

My old catalytic converter for my 92 pickup Ext cab V6 has been put to rest. It did last for 271,000 miles and I got many years of great use out of it. So in the search for a new one I checked at my local toyota dealers. At one it was $855.00 and the other $795.00. I couldn't help but laugh. These are almost as much as gold pound for pound. Holy Moly. The local auto part store said they have one for $50.00 but is weld in one meaning that I have to modify my exaust. Does anyone have any suggestions on where I can get a new one that will bolt right on?

Get a Carsound Cat - they are usually on ebay. High flow and cheap. Not sure if you are going to avoid the welding requirement though.

The MagnaFlow Cats looks good. If I need to I dont mind welding in a new one if I can save 600 bucks. Do you know what model I would need? Thanks for the suggestion.

Carsound on Ebay has the high flow Magnaflow cats for $38. Its a weld in but who cares. Beats hundreds of ripped off dollars.

I also found a direct fit bolt on at Advance Auto for around $100, about $7 more for the gaskets.

I got a bolt-in replacement from napa a few months ago before I did my engine swap. Now I can use it with my new motor and am looking to sell it. I'll send you a PM to see if we can work something out.
Thanks
