Towing with 91 std cab. 22RE?

Just wondering if anyone had towed on of those U-haul trailers with their standard cab toyota truck with a 22re motor. My truck is a 5spd and is in great running condition, only has 95k miles. I'm looking at moving to reno, nevada possibly and would need a 4x8' trailer, they also carry a 4x6' but that may be too small. The trailer weighs 750 lbs and has a maximum capacity of 2000lbs. Will I be ok? Also I do not have a aftermarket trailer hitch, will my new 2" trailer ball on my 3500lb capacity bumper be ok? thanks guys. Just don't want to stress the truck a lot. It does say in the manual that it can pull 3500lbs but i really doubt it. thanks.

should be just fine, specially with a 5spd. May be a little slow up mountains, just load the tl right and keep the weight off the tounge

Yeah, I used to tow a 16' boat with a 22re, though not sure how much it weighed. It was a little slow, though, that's for sure.

To keep the weight off the tongue, don't put all of the heavy stuff in front of the wheels, spread it all out. Kind of like balancing a see-saw and the wheels are the middle part.

when towing, you want a 60-40 split...60% of the load forward of the axle, 40% behind it.
