Touch-Up Paint
Well, it was bound to happen sooner or later. Looks like some idiot pushed a shopping cart or something into the driver?s side portion of my rear bumper. No dents, just paint damage. I just painted the rear bumper less than a year ago. It looks like a series of four parallel scratches. My question is, what is the best way to touch up that area besides repainting the whole thing? Should I just buy the touch-up paint from the dealership and just apply it or do I need to prep it with primer first? What about buffing after the paint dries? Damn, I?m starting to notice more and more scratches and paint chips on my rig from stupid people opening their doors without looking.

What year is your Toyota? If it's a fairly new one you can get spray paint on line and sealer but it's really exspensive. About $19.00 for a 12 ounce can and then you have to buy the primer and sealer or the paint wont match. The only thing you can get from the dealer is the little bottles of touch up and it sucks.Mike
