Hey guys

I just want to confirm that the only reason why these torque converters won't unlock is due to an electrical issue outside the tranny. It's the A340F tranny behind the 3.4L in a Taco. The FSM seems to indicate that its the ECU. If the issue doesn't lie with the tranny itself, I don't care because I already swapped in a 5 speed, but now wants to sell this auto tranny and don't want to sell a complete dudd to someone.

A couple more things, I had no tranny codes before I pulled it and could spin the torque converter freely by hand once it was off the truck. So, it's got to be electrical right?

hey there if you put a 5 speed in do you have the t case that whent with the auto trann

Yes, I have both the tranny and the T-case. Can someone please confirm that there is nothing in or with the tranny itself that would cause the converter not to unlock while it was in the truck, please? Thanks.
