Top speed w/ s/c is now 95? WTF?
So I verified to myself what I thought was true. Now that the S/C is installed, I cannot go any faster than 95mph.
I got on a long flat streach of highway, and kept her on the floor. No dice after 95. The EGT didn't go above 1475 or so either. (didn't get any hotter OR faster)
so whats wrong? I did well over 100 before the s/c.

Click the overdrive off. You'll kick down to 3rd and lock up the converter. With it locked up in 3rd you can hit the limiter with ease. If you've never done it before it will scare the crap out of you when the truck feels like the engine just died. If you haven't had your VB upgraded I would strongly recommend it. My transmission only last 11k miles after I installed the SC.

Give the truck and ECU a few days to get used to opperating with the supercharger. The ECU has to "learn" how to opperate the motor with the supercharger. I am not sure that this is your problem. When did you install the blower?

Why would you intentionally over-rev your engine? It hurts just to read that.
So, do you do a lot of power braking? If so, I'm surprised your tranny lasted 11K. A valve body isn't absolutely necessary, but a tranny cooler should be. I had a very mild modification done to my VB. I've put nearly 30k miles on my truck since installing the s/c. No slipping, no overheating. Everything works fines. Of coarse, I also don't powerbrake.

Actually, I am at neither the rev-limiter or the speed-limiter.
She just woln't go any faster! I didn't try knocking it down out of over-drive, I will try that.
It just seems weird that 95 is the magic speed where I can no longer go any faster. I have plenty of RPM's left at that point.
I've had the supercharger for a few months now, so I know the ecu is in check.
Any more ideas? Wouldnt the truck automatically kick down to 3rd gear if I step on it?
Could this have ANYTHING to do with my disconnecting the ECT PWR button? (just removed it for a few days to do car audio stuff - removed the entire center console)

I don't think it's a problem, the same thing happens to me. I think it's just the converter being unlocked because it's floored can't overcome the brick-like shape of our 4R. If you don't have OD off the truck will probably go to 4th gear around 90mph if you keep it floored (rough estimate).
BTW, if you're going to try keeping it in 3rd till you're above 100~105 mph make sure that you floor it so that it kicks down to 3rd and then press the OD off button when you're around 5000 rpms in third. The revs won't rise as fast (and may actually drop a little) because the converter will lock up, but you should actually accelerate harder. Whatever you do I would not recommend turning OD off if you have it floored and it's already in 4th because it will jerk the tranny a lot and I don't imagine it's good for it.

Okay. You guys were right. I did 3 tests.
1. Nothing changed. I just floored it from 40mph and she topped off at 95.
2. At 50mph I turned off the OD and floored it. She went all the way to redline, but the EGT got to over 1500 degrees. (Maybe 1510?)
3. At 50mph, O/D off. went to redline, then turned od off. she went to the speed limiter.
then I ran out of gas.... well almost. damn supercharger... he!
