Too many stereo cables?

I am swapping out my stock head unit on my '97 4Runner and noticed that there are three coax cables.
There are two larger cables and one smaller cable, I know that one larger cable is for the main antenna (fender mount) and the smaller cable is for the diversity antenna (rear window) but, what is the other larger cable for?

maybe the third is split off the other one for something like an fm modulator (like a 6 disc changer is split off the fm signal in my rig has)...tracing all the coax/ snapping some pictures will help diagnose the issue.

Here's all I have to go on.
'97 4Runner SR5 was completely stock when I bought it and had the original Toyota stereo with awesome tape deck (I haven't owned a cassette in over ten years) and no cd changer.
The cable on the right goes to the fender antenna and the middle cable goes to the rear window antenna, the one on the left disappears in the dash wiring harness to.............?
