tires and alignment
ok, so im doing my lift vetran's day weekend, which also means new meat and re doing the alignment.
few questions for you guys:
ive decided on BFG a/t in 285/75r16, 4wheel parts has them for 178.99, sears for 177.99. are there any other places that sell these? this is all i could find.
as for an alignment, my plan was to do my lift, get the alignment close enough to drive down and get new tires on my OEM wheels, and while its in the shop, they can do the alignment there. does this sound right to you guys? how hard is it to approximate the alignment, enough to drive it either 15 miles to sears, or 20-25 to 4wheel parts?
finally, which store is less likely to screw up both the balancing of the tires and the alignment of the vehicle? any specific experiences with places. my zip code is 92373 if you care to look for places that might do a better job in my area. my other option is 4west(those in the inland empire know about it) but they dont carry the tires, and are a mostly jeep place.
thanks for your help guys, as always, youre awesome. i rather ask a stupid question than have my truck screwed up!!!

Tirerack.com has them, give them a shot...
As far as balancing just make sure that the place that does the mounting and balbancing has the Haweka(sp?) adapter...

so tire rack has them for 168 each, but that still leaves me to get them pressed on the wheels... plus the 90 bucks for shipping, where as i think if i get them while in stock at 4wheel parts, i pay whatever price, but not the shipping on them...

yea, problem with costco is they will only install approved sizes for my vehicle.
ie we wanted an upsized tire for my mom's crv, they did it about 4 years ago, but when we went back recently, they wouldnt put that size on again, we had to drop 5 from the aspect ratio, dont remember the exact size. so from like 55 to 50. or the like. and will costco do my alignment, and not fsck it up?

I had some luck by pricing the tires I wanted on line and then find someone who would give me a competitive quote and install them.
As for the alignment - i don't trust mine to just any tire shop, sears or other. I take mine to an independent alignment shop - where they do a great job. I have found that sears and tires shops don't provide anythign close to quality or reliable service.
