Question Throttle body spacer, worth it or worthless?

I did a search, but it seems its been about 9 months since there was any discussion of the use of throttle body spacers (ie powerdyne, air-raid, motorvation etc), and it was mostly about fit, not function.

So who out there has installed one of these? What do you think? Did you keep it in or pull it after it did nothing for you?

If it works well it seems like $100 well spent, otherwise I'll save for something else.

Worthless. I've read posts of everybody here as well as other places who've bought one, and not a single one of them were happy with it.

Worthless! Talk to <96 4Runner> about that.

I don't think you need any further information

I did hear that there is an ever so slight performance increase but definitely not worth the $$ that you need to shell out.

If you're still interested and decide that you want to find out for yourself then at least check out Ebay. A couple of the guys who had it on their rigs and got rid of it - did so on Ebay for about $20

Agree...

I'm coming over from the Jeep Forum (http://www.jeepsunlimited.com/forums/) and I will speak for my Jeepers that it does not do much, if anything

I haven't used one, but the entire theory is flawed, there's no way to get more air into the intake without enlarging the space the air goes in. The spacer itself does nothing, although I guess if you had a long enough one maybe you'd get an increase in low end torque similar to longer intake runners???

thanks

Thanks for the input, the ad copy in Summit sure seemed too good to be true-glad I could verify it with the real world.
