Do you ever feel like you are about to ask a really stupid question? In my defense, I did do a search...

I was up late last night installing my TJM-17. Now that I'm done, I feel like I might have missed some steps cause I've got extra stuff hanging down. Do these parts un-bolt from the body panels? I know I'll probably have to take a dremel to the plastic, but I didn't want to cut the attachments for the factory bumper. What have you guys done? I wanted to ask before I remove the bumper again, cause it was a biotch getting that sucker on with only two hands (I won't even begin about the plastic finger tabs!!)

if its plastic, look for clips and if you cant find any, cut them, thats what i did.

if its metal, try to unbolt, but dont cut that.

any pics of the bumper installed?

I just cut the plastic off, and you can unbolt the little screw thing with a deep socket. If you look behind the white part there is a nut holding it on. I just noticed that yesterday when I was craking up the downeys. Good luck! Lets see the pics! I got some pics from a photo shoot at the track last night I need to upload.

Well... umm... pics huh?... I'm still at stock height, running boards are still on and I may wait, for fear of flaming!

SAWs are ordered but will be a couple of weeks. New BFGs will be put on in a week or two (265/75s or 285s can't decide) and I'm trying to decide on new wheels (may go with something different than most). I feel like Dr. Frankenstien!

I went ahead and installed the bumper because I had someone buy my stock bumper over the weekend. Pics will come soon though, I promise.

Tuboale, did you unbolt that bracket with the bumper on or prior to installation?

I just left all that stuff hanging. It doesn't really bother me any.

on a side note, I would go with the 285's. they just look a LOT better with a lift. ESPECIALLY if you go with SAWs. just my opinion
