For those that installed their CB
I have a question. I got my kit in yesterday, and I was reading...and it said to solder the wire to the center post. Did you guys do this?
Also if you know...how easy is it to pop the housing around the stereo? I'm not going to snap something by accident am I. Any heads up would be cool. I got my mount mounted last night...so fr so good. Thanks

JSB,
Take a gander here: http://www.4runners.org/articles/cobra
Within the article, you'll see I soldered the coax to the tip. I think that is what you are talking about. I would do it to make a good connection. Also within the article itself, I've linked to SLC Punk's article on how to remove the front radio fascia (trim). That will answer your 2nd question.

Bob,
Thanks for the link. I guess I need to go and buy or borrow a soldering iron now. I've learned to ask before I do, even if it sounds extremely simple such as this. Just because somebody has done it before, and may have a few tips to avoid. When I was younger and installed stereo's I didn't care much for some reason, and I'd just pull peices apart with out a care that I might snap a clip or something. I guess it's age setting in.
Thanks again guys!
