not a member over there, yet, so I cant see the pics and hp numbers.
what kind of numbers are they showing without a supercharger? and any way you could post some pice here?
I must say, a 2-3 hour install time is looking good to me.

very unique bends near the flanges. since there are diff bends for each flange, are these headers flow-tested at the main collector?
if so, do they have the flow rate number and are they the same?

Long answer:
"Yes, you'll also find that JBA did this too, however ours is a little different. The reason for the loop is first, equal length. You just don't want to have a single 2" tube dump where other's are 8-9" in length. Second is that you have to pass it by the steering column which is in the way on the S-Runner's. But you shouldn't have any problem with other applications. We tried doing a wrap around long tube one, but you couldn't fit it in without having to force somethin out of the way. Also, you'll notice how the crossover is one piece and all ball flanges? The collector flanges are also positioned to where you can take a socket and reach through he fender well with an extension without hassle."
"The difference between the "conventional" and JBA, is that the number 1 cylinder floated all the way to the collector, thus having another flange to the collector and and the head. This is good in the sense it is now longer tubes, but prone to leaking. TRD brought the collector all the way to back and cast it as well. Nice concept, but just had too many flanges. The JBA "loop" that I describe, keeps the length of the that tube similar to the others, thus helping the scavenging. This loop also functions for installation ease. In the S-Runner, the hardest one to fit, the steering column is right in the way and you need to get by that in order to install it."

For comparison purposes: "TRD Headers had 1 3/8" primaries, 2 1/4" crossover. TRD has the number 1 cylinder floating and not even on the same flange. And JBA requires extensive cutting and multiple flanges and pieces. Whereas ours only has 1 left, 1 right and a crossover.
Will these come with the same spring loaded flanges as the TRD headers? They will be ball flanges."

TRD and JBA don't readily offer flow rate data either, (Exhaust gas flow? Water flow? Cold air flow? It is a non-specific term), and there is a good reason for that. It's useless. The primaries are designed according to the firing order with length taken into consideration. Thorley tests their prototypes on the dyno. That is the main indicator of functionality.

It would be great if this was for the 3.0. However, I would want a header that was made like this one. Thorley was too lazy to give us 3.0 owners ball and socket joints. And, imagine how great it would have been if the 3.0 headers had the crossover in the same spot like the 3.4 headers have. It would make it so much easier to connect to the existing exhaust system.

So... The only issue that has yet to be addressed is whether or not these leak. The types and number of flanges, (mentioned earlier), are superior and fewer than the ones used on the TRD headers. Theoretically, they should prove to be more reliable.
My question to Chris regarding this:
"Have you experienced any leaking issues with your prototype? Any problems whatsoever?"
Response:
"None, these are the final ones, these would be considered production."
Those of you waiting around... The representative from Thorley is willing to answer and address ALL questions/comments regarding their products. If any of you have reservations about this product, I would highly recommend you bring them up with Chris directly over at CT.
