Good luck. I haven't had good luck w/ domestic cars. No experience w/ domestic trucks though. You should be happy with what you have.

If you're worried about "high" mileage on a Toyota...then why on earth are you buying an American car?

Yeah, no joke. I'm not sure what your towing requirements are, but certainly a Tundra or a new Tacoma would fit the bill. How many miles on the 4Runner right now?

If you are going to get a sierra, go ahead and get a 2500 (pref. diesel). That would be the best bet for towing, but proabably not wheeling....I dunno just depends. How big is ur boat?

If you just tow occasionally then a Tundra would work great, but if you do alot of extended towing then you definately should be looking at Cummins, Duramax or Superduty diesels. There is nothing that tows better (I do hope Toyota will get in on it too so we don't have to buy domestic pickups for towing).

If you're getting diesel, don't get a Duracrap. At least do yourself a favor and get a Cummins

well, it just broke 201,000 but it runs still but its throwing a cylinder missfire code so im goin to get that fixxed and sell it. I love the newer tundra's but theyre still outta my buget im only looking to spend at most 20,000$ so that might be outta my league even used. But, dont get me wrong id love to keep it but thats just outta the picture... My parents are sellling their burban also so thats one of the reasons i just need to sell it and get some thing bigger to tow me 23' boat. But dont get me wrong i still love my 3rd gen cause they just rock.....

there are tons of Tundra's available for that price tag of $20k.

And Im sure noone would argue with me here that a Nissan Titan would prolly be an even better choice. You can even find nice 4wd king cab V8 Titans for around $20k.

These are all used ofcourse Good luck!

i just recently got a 4runner again, i had a 94 and loved it but i couldnt haul my ktm 450 in it so i got a 2000 silverado 1500 z71. it had the 5.3 which in my opinion is chevys best motor. they get way better mileage than the 6.0L and seem alot pepier.

i liked the truck but i love my 4runner so i got rid of the truck and bought another 4runner, the toyota seems alot more solid. chevys also have some serious problems. my dads 04 silverado was at the dealer 3 times for a brake problem, which gm knows there is a problem but will not own up to it and recall the problem, with the brake booster. my truck had the fuel guage sending unit go bad which is a very common gm problem, that they won own up to.

i would only buy a gm if it were under warranty.
